A simple exercise plan to stay active is critical not only for good physical health, but for mental health as well. Studies have found that people who stay active and commit to regular, moderate exercise tend to have more successful health outcomes and maintain mobility for longer.

Exercise, as a component of treatment in pain management, can come in many forms. It may be as simple as trying to get a number of steps per day, or measured as daily activity. Exercise may also incorporate activities that may or may not be typically defined as “exercise” — such as swimming, walking, gardening, or classes.
