He is a board-certified neurologist with dual-fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Pain Management. He graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Yale University and his residency training in Neurology at the University of Southern California, where he also completed his two fellowships. He has served as an elected Council Member of the Pain and Palliative Care section of the American Academy of Neurology.
He believes strongly in a comprehensive approach to pain management, utilizing appropriate combinations of treatment modalities to maximize benefit. He aims to select the best combination of therapies for each patient, not just treating a disease but also the person who has that particular disease.
As the director of medical education, he has helped coordinate clinical research projects, regularly gives lectures to both patients and physician colleagues and serves as Chair of our Continuing Medical Education Committee. Dr. Levine performs interventional pain procedures (including implantable therapy devices), performs electrodiagnostic studies and treats pain and spasticity.
