Pragya B. Gupta, MD, FRCS(Edin), DABPM, FAPCR, CPI

Dr. Gupta is a double-board-certified Interventional Pain Physician and a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with a practice in Interventional Pain Medicine dating back to 2000. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh through examination in 1993. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency and Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, in 1999. He graduated from R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital (Calcutta University) in 1985.

Dr. Gupta’s passion lies in offering cutting-edge, evidence-based interventional pain management to alleviate chronic pain. To stay current with the latest advances in Interventional Pain Management, he has participated in over forty-two industry-sponsored clinical research trials in pain management. Many of these trials have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals. His involvement in FDA-supervised clinical research has enabled him to offer novel treatments long before they are officially approved.

Dr. Gupta excels at identifying clinical trials that provide the safest and most effective treatment options for patients with chronic pain. His expertise ranges from using CGRP antagonists for migraine headaches to stem cell therapy for discogenic low back pain, as well as chemonucleolysis of the disc for sciatica pain.

After practicing for 21 years in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area as a private practitioner and owner of a Pain and Clinical research Practice, Dr. Gupta and his wife relocated to Southern California to be closer to their two wonderful daughters, who live there.
